Solar Smash Achievements: Full List, Secret Achievements and How to Unlock Them

Last updated: 8 September 2026. Sources: the Achievements page of the Solar Smash community wiki (names, XP values, unlock methods, level requirements) cross-checked with the in-game achievements screen; game listing on Google Play.

Achievements are how Solar Smash hands out most of its hidden content. Each one pays between 200 and 3,500 XP, can only be earned once per profile, and many of them unlock a weapon variant, a planet skin or one of the secret planets. This is the complete list for the current mobile version, grouped by how you actually earn them, with the steps written out. Where a step says “reset”, it means the restart button in the top corner: several achievements only trigger when you reset a planet in a particular state.

Two habits make the whole list faster. Turn on the aim tool when an achievement needs precise placement (satellites, UFO landings, the grid). And keep the population counter visible: a lot of the secret ones are about a specific number of people, not about damage.

Progress achievements (the ones you get by playing)

These count across every session and need nothing special.

Planet Smasher (destroy 1 planet, 500 XP) · System Smasher (10 planets, 1,000) · Cluster Smasher (100, 1,500) · Sector Smasher (1,000, 2,000) · Galactic Smasher (10,000, 2,500) · Universe Smasher (100,000, 3,000).

Weapons Master I to VII: fire 1, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000, 1 million, 10 million and 100 million weapons (500 XP up to 3,500). The counter counts individual shots, so weapons with almost no cooldown (Kinetic Artillery, Meteor Shower held down) push it far faster than Planet Killers.

The Artist (500): open the settings of any weapon and change one value. Do it once and forget it.

Shape achievements (Grid tool)

The Grid is under the weapon settings. Its three sliders clip the planet along X, Y and Z; anything outside the box can be removed.

Cube Earth (1,000): set all three sliders to about the middle, remove everything outside the box, reset. Cube Mars (500): the same on Mars.

Flat Earth (1,000): X and Z at maximum, Y at minimum, clear everything outside, reset. Flat Mars (500): same on Mars.

Donut (1,000): make the flat disc first, then punch a hole through the middle (a Gauss Cannon shot from above works) and reset. Ghost Donut (500): the same on Ghost World, which you only have after Celestial Smite below.

Block World (500): make Cube Earth, then hit it with a Healing Missile and reset. This is the one people search as “how to get block planet”.

Population achievements (Custom Planet)

Custom Planet lets you type a population before you save. Three achievements only care about that number.

Number of the Beast (2,500): custom planet with exactly 666 million people, reset. Member of the Elite (2,500): 1,337 million (shown in-game as 1b 337m), reset. Overpopulation (1,000): 10 billion 854 million people, save.

Waterworld (500): create a Custom Planet but do not edit it at all, leave editing mode with the hammer icon, then laser the Sun and wait for the supernova to take the planet. Unlocks the Waterworld secret planet.

Machine World achievements

Machine World (Alpha Centauri system) has a hexagonal shield that regenerates. Several achievements are built around it.

The Shield is Down! (500): break the shield, then destroy the core in the centre before the shield comes back. Stacked Black Holes are the quickest way through. Snow Globe! (500): throw Snowballs at the exposed core; unlocks the Snow Globe planet. Dissected! (1,000): drop the shield, spawn a Leviathan (space worm), and let the shield regenerate while the worm is halfway through.

Sun and system achievements

Starlight (500): fire a Laser at the Sun in Planet Smash until it goes supernova. Sunburnt (500): in System Smash, drag any planet into the Sun. Rogue Star (200): drag the Sun out of the system and wait until it is far enough away. An a-muse-ing amount of (500): in System Smash, feed as much matter as you can into a single Black Hole. Lost in Space (500): open a wormhole, put a planet inside, and destroy the exit wormhole with Black Holes while the planet is in transit. Multiplanetary (500): build a system with more than 100 planets in System Smash without losing any.

Galaxy Smash! (500): destroy the Sun with a Black Hole in System Smash and reset; repeat in the TRAPPIST-1 and Tau systems; then in Planet Smash destroy the Sun with a Black Hole and reset. This unlocks the Galaxy Smash mode, which is why “how to unlock galaxy smash” is one of the most searched questions about the game.

Weapon-specific achievements

Order 66 (500): open Nuclear Missile settings, set the amount to 66, fire once. Trick or Treat (500): Planet Killer on Earth; reset while the whole planet has turned orange but before it explodes. Unlocks the Pumpkin planet. Ice Age (1,000): cover the entire Earth with the Freeze Ray; unlocks Snowman. Gingerbread Man (500): Planet Killer on Snowman, reset when it is orange. Celestial Smite (500): destroy Earth using only the Celestial; unlocks Ghost World. Cloudless Venus (500): on Venus, max out the Grid slider, fire one Anti-Matter Missile, wait for it to finish, reset. Swarmed! (500): hit one planet with every Swarm variant at the same time. Defrosted Boreas (500): melt every piece of ice on Boreas with Healing Missiles; leave one patch and the missiles are wasted. Unstable Orbit (500): push an Orbital Bombardment ship into the Earth.

Defence achievements

Orbital Ring and We’ve Got You Surrounded! (500 each): ring the Earth completely with Defensive Satellites, using aim mode to place them evenly, and reset.

UFO landings

Land of the Free: Washington (500): a UFO on the east coast of the United States gets shot down. The Motherland: Moscow (500): the same on the western edge of Russia. Mars Attacks! (500): pick Mars, then send a UFO at the Sun.

Text and menu secrets

Jeff (500): in System Smash, rename a planet “Jeff”. Zero Wing (500): rename a planet “allyourbasearebelongtous”, one word. Multilingual (500): pick the hidden language at the bottom of the language list. Cultured (500): install Solar Smash 2D, the studio’s other game, on the same device.

What levels unlock

XP from achievements and destruction raises your level, and levels unlock variants and planets on their own. Roughly: level 2 gives the Soccer Ball bomb, SpaceY rocket, the Moon, Terraformed Mars and TRAPPIST-1b to 1d; level 3 the purple Plasma, Orbital Station, TRAPPIST-1e to 1g and the Tau planets (Hades, Tatenen, Avalon, Aphrodite, Boreas, Adranos); level 4 the Darksaber, Mothership, Persephone and Machine World; level 5 Ship Spawner UFO, Falcon Fighters, Remnant Battleship, Cheems and Ringworld; level 6 the Christmas Tree drill, Burst-Fire lasers, Nanite swarm, Perchta and Starworld; level 7 the Large Black Hole, Dark Laser, Titan Fighters, Europa and Ganymede; level 8 Snowball asteroid and 8-Ball moon; level 9 the Death Star and Mecha worm; level 10 Single Strike thunderstorm and the Gigachad Celestial; level 11 Rainbow lightsaber; level 12 Javelin Fighters; level 13 Large Shield Ship; level 14 Rainbow Laser and Chimera Fighters.

Fastest XP

Most XP per minute comes from the speed and variety bonuses on each planet, not from achievements. Pick a small unpopulated planet (Mercury), use three or four different weapons quickly, finish with a Planet Killer, reset, repeat. Working through this list once adds roughly 45,000 XP on top.

Solar Smash achievements FAQ

How many achievements are there?

53 that can currently be earned. The achievements screen also shows several greyed-out badges that belong to content not yet released.

Why did my achievement not unlock?

Almost always because the reset step was skipped, or the planet exploded before the reset. Trick or Treat and Gingerbread Man in particular need the reset while the planet is orange, not after.

Does the browser version have achievements?

The version you can play on this site is a browser port and does not track the mobile achievement list. For achievements, use the official Android or iOS app.
