4 Colors Multiplayer is a browser version of the classic shedding card game: everyone holds a hand of coloured, numbered cards, you play one that matches the colour or the number of the card on the pile, and the first player to empty their hand wins the round. It supports two to four players and lets you play online against other people or offline against the computer.
The rules take about thirty seconds to learn and the games last a few minutes, which is why the format has survived in one form or another for decades.
How to play 4 Colors Multiplayer
Click or tap a card in your hand to play it. A card is legal if it shares the colour or the number with the card currently on top of the discard pile. If you have nothing legal, draw from the deck; if the drawn card can be played, you may play it immediately. Action cards change the flow: skip passes the next player, reverse changes direction, draw-two forces the next player to pick up, and the wild card lets you name a new colour.
The game runs in portrait and landscape, so it works on a phone and on a desktop equally well.
Tactics that actually matter
The biggest one is colour management. Keep at least two colours in hand for as long as you can; a hand reduced to one colour is a hand that gets stuck the moment someone changes it. Play your off-colour cards while you still have options, not when you are forced to.
Hold wild cards rather than spending them early. A wild is worth most at the end of a round, when it guarantees you can play on your last turn, and it is also the card that punishes an opponent who is down to one card in a colour you can change away from.
Watch what other players draw. Someone who has drawn twice in a row is short on a colour, and steering the pile toward that colour is the single most effective way to slow them down.
Playing against people or against the computer
Online matches bring the bluffing element, since you can see how many cards each player is holding but not what they are. The computer opponents play a straightforward legal-move strategy, which makes offline mode a reasonable place to learn the action cards before going online.
4 Colors FAQ
How many players?
Two to four, with computer opponents filling empty seats.
Do I need an account?
No. Matches start from the game itself with nothing to sign up for.
Is it the same as the card game I know?
The rules follow the familiar colour-and-number shedding format; the card names and artwork are the developer’s own.
Keeping a flexible hand
4 Colors Multiplayer rewards players who avoid using every wild or action card as soon as it appears. A flexible card can rescue a hand when the pile changes to an awkward colour, whereas an early use may leave no legal move later. In a two-to-four-player round, watch how quickly opponents reduce their cards and use skips, reverses or colour changes when they affect the next player as well as your own hand.
Click or tap a card to play it. It must match the colour or number of the card on the pile. No legal card means you draw.
